Chapter 5, Page 3Once you have decided to call it a day and go to bed, do not switch on the light and
start reading a book or curl up in bed and go to sleep. Instead, do the "Savasana" exercise for a few minutes. What is Savasana? Yoga describes the posture of a dead body as Savasana. Lie down
straight and stretch your arms and legs. Relax all the muscles. Close your eyes. Breathe normally.
Now you recollect the day's events, in a quick succession, analyzing each one of them. Did you manage
time? Did you achieve your objectives? Were you proceeding towards your vision? But do not waste even a single minute in pondering over your regrets. Don't worry about, "If I had not said that, he would
have, "or "If I had not done that, it would have been," and so on. Learn your lessons from your mistakes and shut the door tight on your past. You cannot retrieve anything from your past.
Now shift your thoughts to tomorrow. Set out the tasks for the day. Fix up the time slots. List out your dos and don'ts. This whole exercise will not take more than two minutes. Repeat this exercise
every-night.
Now, switch on the light and read a book of your choice or enjoy yourself being in a cozy bed. You need not go to sleep. The sleep will come to you.
After a good night's rest wake up to
another magnificent day in this beautiful world.
Now, you know the best medicine for your tension is relaxation. The word relax has the letters L A X. Hence, it will always act as a laxative for your
tension. Good Luck.
